Ponant Explorations has announced 15 new voyages in alliance with Smithsonian Journeys for 2028.
In a press release, the cruise line said these latest itineraries complete a roster of 36 voyages exploring all seven continents in 2028.

The expert insight shared on these voyages by the some of the most astute minds in history, culture, and the natural world foster real understanding and the kind of connection to destinations that endure long after the voyage ends.”
Each voyage in the expanded offering will welcome two Smithsonian Journeys Experts onboard to share context about the places, people and landscapes explored.

This seven-night journey aboard Le Bougainville explores the environment and cultural heritage along Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast.
From the Osa Peninsula to the Manuel Antonio National Park, guests explore parks and wildlife refuges alive with scarlet macaws, sloths, squirrel monkeys, and various bird species.
Sailing the Adriatic: Treasures of Eastern Italy and Sicily

This eight-night itinerary aboard Le Dumont d’Urville traces the Adriatic’s lesser-explored western shores.
Byzantine mosaics in Ravenna, Renaissance masterworks in Urbino, the trulli houses of Alberobello and Baroque architecture and Greek theaters in Sicily are some of the locations visited.
