Oceania Strengthens Sales Leadership with Two Appointments

Oceania Sales Leadership

Oceania Cruises has announced two appointments within its North America Sales leadership team, reinforcing the company’s focus on its travel advisor partnerships and trade sales organization.

Alicia Steuart has joined as senior director of sales, while Michael von Wittenau transitioned to the newly created role of senior director of national accounts and partner engagement.

Steuart joins Oceania following more than 26 years with Carnival Cruise Line, where she most recently served as senior sales director, strategic partnerships, overseeing major host agencies, online travel agencies, consortia and key trade relationships.

The company said in a press release that in her new role, she will oversee Oceania Cruises’ team of Business Development Managers across the United States and Canada, leading the company’s frontline field sales efforts.

She will report to Tricia Wolf, vice president of sales for North America.

Von Wittenau, who has been with Oceania Cruises for more than a decade, will assume responsibility for the company’s consortia partnerships, industry associations and broader advisor engagement and training initiatives.

The company stated that the newly created role reflects Oceania Cruises’ continued focus on deepening relationships with key trade partners and enhancing support for the advisor community.

Before joining Oceania Cruises, von Wittenau held roles with Signature Travel Network and Crystal Cruises. He will report to Emily Loewy, vice president of sales strategy and operations.

“We are committed to being the cruise line of choice for our travel partners,” said Nathan Hickman, senior vice president and chief sales officer of Oceania Cruises.

“From meaningful enhancements that improve advisor earnings to the continued strengthening of our sales organization, every decision we make is grounded in bolstering our partnerships. Steuart and von Wittenau bring deep experience, strong leadership and a proven track record of delivering results for both their teams and their partners,” added Hickman.

According to the press release, the appointments further strengthen Oceania Cruises’ North America sales leadership structure and ensure the company is well positioned to support its growing network of travel partners.
