Nicko Cruises Teams Up with Meet5 to Connect Travelers

Nicko Spirit

Nicko Cruises has partnered with the online platform Meet5 to make it easier for cruise guests to connect with fellow travelers.

Meet5 members can discover selected Nicko Cruises itineraries in the app, sign up for a trip through the platform, make connections and arrange to meet before departure, according to a statement.

Onboard, Meet5 members are seated together in restaurants and drinks voucher are delivered to their cabins.

“Solo travelers have been especially important to us for many years. That’s why we offer a variety of attractive conditions for guests traveling without a companion, including selected singles-only departures and significantly reduced single supplements,” said Guido Laukamp, managing director of Nicko Cruises.

“Our partnership with Meet5 adds another social dimension to this concept: people get to know each other beforehand, travel together, and may even make lifelong friends.”

Four river cruises have been selected for partnership launch.

The first is a two-day event cruise departing aboard the Nicko Spirit on November 28, 2026, offering a short getaway on the Rhine.

The cruise will feature a tribute show “Kaiser Meets Helene,” with the greatest hits of Roland Kaiser and Helene Fischer performed by Edwina De Pooter and Dirk Elfgen, paired with a multi-course dinner.

The second is a festive six-day Advent cruise aboard the Bolero, sailing December 11-16, 2026, and taking guests from Passau to Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava before returning to Passau.

The Advent getaway features a special Christmas gala dinner, festive markets and snowy Wachau Valley.

The third option is the Tulip Cruise, sailing aboard the Rhein Melodie from Cologne to Rotterdam and Amsterdam before returning to Cologne April 1-6, 2027.

The highlight of the itinerary is a visit to Keukenhof, one of Europe’s largest tulip and flower gardens.

Finally, the fourth voyage is a two-day Murder Mystery Cruise aboard the Rhein Symphonie roundtrip from Cologne, sailing March 19-20, 2027.

Guests will enjoy a multi-course meal as they unravel twists, question suspicious characters, gather clues, identify the culprit and solve the case together.
