Nicko Cruises’ Sales Team Visits Travel Agencies in Germany

  • July 16, 2026
Nick Cruises Sales Team

Nicko Cruises has announced that its sales team will travel throughout Germany, visiting 400 travel agencies and informing partners about the company’s 2027 river season and the 2027-28 world cruise aboard the Vasco da Gama.

“Our travel agency partners make a decisive contribution to our success. We want to present the most important news to them personally, answer questions directly and provide valuable impetus for advice,” said Bert Freter, head of sales at Nicko Cruises.

The company said in a press release that its focus for the coming year is on the 22-ship river fleet’s itineraries.

The River Cruises 2027 catalog, published in June, includes two new travel destinations: the Cyrano de Bergerac sailing in France, and the 14-day cruise on the Victoria Sabrina that combines a river cruise on China’s waterway with hotel stays in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an.

Nicko Cruises stated that it will also offer the following in 2027:

  • On the Rhine, Moselle and Saar, a new six-day route from Cologne via Rotterdam and Amsterdam back to Cologne
  • A new nine-day cruise from Cologne via Remich and Trier
  • On the Danube, the choice ranges from compact trips between Passau, Vienna and Melk to longer routes towards the Iron Gate, the Black Sea and the Danube Delta. The cruises connect Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest with natural and cultural landscapes, from the Wachau to regions of southeastern Europe.

In addition, the world voyage aboard the Vasco da Gama embarks on November 4, 2027, in Lisbon and sails across six continents and through 41 countries, before returning to Portugal after 172 days.

The route is divided into nine travel segments, which can also be booked individually as long-distance trips or combined.
