Judge to Hear NCLH Transfer Bid in Del Rio Lawsuit July 8

Norwegian Viva Funnel

A Miami-Dade judge will hear Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ (NCLH)  bid to move the Frank Del Rio consulting-pay lawsuit to the court’s Complex Business Litigation Division on July 8.

According to a notice of hearing filed June 30, the matter is set for 9:30 a.m. before the Honorable Gina Beovides and will be conducted via Zoom.

The hearing addresses only the defendants’ motion to transfer the case to complex jurisdiction, not the separate motions to dismiss that NCLH and four of its former directors filed June 25.

Del Rio, who led NCLH from 2015 until stepping down in mid-2023, sued the company and former directors Russell Galbut, Harry Curtis, Mary Landry and Stella David, alleging they reneged on a promise to extend his post-retirement consulting deal.
