Havila Appoints Aviareps as General Sales Agent in China

Havila Voyages has appointed Aviareps as General Sales Agent for China, with immediate effect. The partnership is intended to strengthen the company’s position and visibility in this growing market.

“We are pleased to appoint Aviareps as our General Sales Agent in China. Their strong market knowledge, established travel trade network and comprehensive sales and marketing expertise make them the ideal partner to help us grow our presence in this important market,” said Johanna Hansli, chief sales officer at Havila Voyages.

“Together, we look forward to bringing the unique experience of Norway’s coastal voyage to more travelers from China,” added Hansli.

Tom Fecke, global head of cruise at Aviareps, said: “China represents an exciting growth opportunity for Havila Voyages, and we are proud to support the company’s expansion in this strategically important market.”

“By combining our extensive travel trade network, local expertise and proven sales and marketing capabilities, we look forward to introducing more Chinese travelers to Havila Voyages’ unique and sustainable coastal experiences while building long-term relationships with the region’s travel industry,” added Fecke.

Under the new agreement, Aviareps will provide comprehensive sales, marketing and PR services to strengthen Havila Voyages’ presence in the Chinese market.

With its local sales team and travel trade network, Aviareps will focus on:

  • Developing new business opportunities
  • Expanding relationships with travel agencies and tour operators, and
  • Increasing brand awareness through sales calls, trade presentations, promotional campaigns, webinars and consumer events.

 

Havila said in a press release that the partnership also includes travel agency training, familiarization trips, booking and reservation support through Havila Voyages’ dedicated booking platform.

It also provides operational assistance for travel partners, client and partner management and the execution of marketing and PR initiatives tailored to the Chinese market.
