Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has introduced new itineraries for its five ships, which feature more than 500 ports of call annually.

The season will offer a first-ever winter season in the Indian Ocean, a cruise combining all five Great Lakes with the St. Lawrence River, explorations of the Philippines, as well as a new journey along the American West Coast.

The company said in a press release that in February 2027, the Europa will debut a 29-day voyage from Valparaiso to San Francisco, linking South, Central and North America across eight countries, from Peru and Costa Rica, to an arrival beneath San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

In 2028, the ship will also offer its first in-depth exploration of the Philippines across two consecutive cruises.

The Europa 2 will introduce a new South Pacific itinerary visiting Papua New Guinea and Palau for the first time.

Another itinerary explores Costa Rica’s Pacific coast with first-time calls at Isla Tortuga and Puerto Jiménez.

Expedition Cruises

For the first time, the Hanseatic Nature will spend the 2027-28 winter season in the Indian Ocean, exploring Madagascar, the Seychelles and Mauritius.

Three new 14-day voyages in early 2028 will be dedicated entirely to South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula, providing a shorter Antarctic experience.

In summer 2027, the Hanseatic Inspiration will become the only cruise ship to combine all five Great Lakes with the St. Lawrence River on a single voyage.

In May 2028, the Hanseatic Spirit will debut a new expedition through Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region, featuring sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, Indigenous rock art and wildlife.
