Europa to Welcome 10 Michelin-Starred Chefs for Culinary Celebration

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will mark the 20th anniversary of its “Europa’s Best” annual culinary program by welcoming 10 chefs with a combined 23 Michelin stars onboard the Europa in August. 

The ship’s Pool Deck will transform into a promenade of culinary events on August 21, the cruise line said in a statement.  

Ben Schütz, chef de cuisine on the Europa, will welcome ten Michelin-starred chefs from five European countries onboard. 

They are Kevin Fehling, Marco Müller, Marcel Skibba, Thorsten Bender, Dirk Luther, Martin Stopp, Jurgen van der Zalm, Thomas Dorfer, Dieter Koschina and Tanja Grandits. 

Ten European wine experts and ten experts in haute cuisine will join them, welcoming guests at their degustation counters. 

A few suites are still available on the short cruise “Enjoyment in its Highest Form” from August 21 to 25, 2026, as well as a limited number of one-night promenade tickets. 

The promenade tickets will be available to purchase online for €399 per person from June 30, 2026. 

After the event, the ship will sail from Hamburg to Aeroskobing and Copenhagen, and then back to Kiel.  

The short cruise can be booked in the PLATINUM fare (suite without a veranda) from €3,190 per person, double occupancy.
