Ambassador Cruise Line has launched a new themed sailing, “Decks & Decades… a 70s, 80s & 90s Celebration.”
Departing from the Port of Tyne in the North East on September 22, 2026, the four-night themed sailing aboard the Ambition will feature live entertainment, themed dining experiences, dress nights and opportunities to sing, dance and reminisce through the seventies, eighties and nineties.
The company said in a press release that the sailing has been designed with that audience in mind, offering guests the chance to reconnect with the songs, styles and shared cultural moments that helped define yesteryear.
The cruise will be celebrating the music, fashion, food and fun of the decades.
Guest acts featuring on the cruise include:
- The Divettes
- Wild Boys, and
- 90s Rewind.
Guests can also look forward to themed quizzes, cabaret performances inspired by each era, themed menus and three dedicated fancy-dress evenings.
Ambassador stated that the themed cruise joins its list of popular interactive experiences. These include “The Summer of ’85 Revisited” homage to Live Aid to “Back to the 70s” and “Back to the 80s” sailing and a “Battle of the Bands,” featuring The Beatles and The Rolling Stones tribute bands.
According to the company, themed sailings have become an increasingly popular part of the line’s entertainment offering.
Other highlights include West End-style productions, theatre@sea performances, vignettes, specialist guest speakers and creative workshops.
