2026 Asia Cruise Forum held in South Korea, the company was honored with the “Award of Special Contribution to Asian Cruise Industry”.
The award recognizes its achievements in cruise operations, ship design and construction and cruise ecosystem development.
Jointly presented by the Organizing Committee of the Asia Cruise Forum and the Asia Cruise Leaders Network (ACLN), the award aims to recognize benchmark enterprises that have made a profound and lasting impact on the development of the Asian cruise industry.
“We are deeply honored to receive the ‘Special Contribution to Asian Cruise Industry’, which follows our accolade as ‘Best Cruise Line in Asia’ last year,” said Adora Cruises.
“We would like to express our gratitude to our industry partners for the authoritative recognition of Adora Cruises’ efforts in driving the growth of the Asian cruise economy,” the company added.
“Looking ahead, we will continue to embrace openness and strengthen collaboration with partners across the region to drive high-quality development of the cruise industry jointly.”
The company added in a press release that the construction and operation of the Adora Magic City marked a pivotal transition for the Chinese cruise economy, moving away from a traditional “transit-only gateway economy” toward a comprehensive “full-value-chain cruise economy”.
This cruise economy encompasses design and construction, cruise operations and supply chain supporting facilities, and as such, it drives the rapid development of both upstream and downstream sectors of China’s cruise industry, Adora said.
In November and December, the Adora Mediterranea will deploy homeport operations to Port Klang, Malaysia and Manila, the Philippines, respectively.
The Adora Flora City, the second Chinese-built large cruise ship, is scheduled for delivery on November 6, 2026.
As the sister ship to Adora Magic City, the ship will feature a sleeker profile, larger public spaces, upgraded technology and onboard experiences, the company said.
Furthermore, the Adora Flora City is scheduled to launch homeport operations from Hong Kong, China, in 2027.
With the launch of its “2+1” newbuild program, a third newly built large cruise ship is expected to be delivered in 2030.
