Vladivostok Welcomes First Cruise Ship After 6 Years

Eastern Venus Vladivostok

The arrival of the Eastern Venus at Vladivostok on June 4, 2026, marked the resumption of cruise operations at the Russian port after six years, according to a statement.

The Eastern Cruises’ ship sailed roundtrip from Busan (South Korea) with South Korean guests aboard, visiting Sokcho (South Korea), Vladivostok (Russia) and Sakaiminato (Japan).

Passengers were offered shore excursions presenting the city’s key attractions.

The maiden call ceremony held onboard was attended by officials of Primorsky Territory’s Government, Vladivostok city’s administration, Vladivostok International Marine Passenger Terminal, as well as cruise line and ship representatives.

The ship, formerly known as the Pacific Venus, sailed to Vladivostok regularly before 2019, serving Japanese guests.
