Scenic Unveils Tastes of Discovery Voyages with Two Celebrity Chefs

Scenic has announced two Tastes of Discovery voyages through Northern Europe and the Mediterranean aboard the Scenic Eclipse I and II. 

These immersive culinary journeys will be led by chefs Gabriel Rodriguez and Begoña Rodrigo, the cruise line shared in a press release. 

Departing in September 2026, these specialty sailings will allow guests to experience Europe through the flavors, traditions and local ingredients inspired by the destinations they visit.

“Our Tastes of Discovery voyages pair some of the world’s most talented chefs with remarkable itineraries across Europe, giving guests exclusive access to extraordinary culinary experiences while exploring some of the most captivating destinations on the planet. It’s a celebration of gastronomy, culture, and discovery at the highest level.” 

The voyages are: 

Tastes of Discovery with Chef Gabriel Rodriguez (September 2, 2026, Bergen to Lisbon) 

Chef Gabriel Rodriguez, finalist on Top Chef Mexico, known for his innovative culinary style and passion for regional ingredients, brings his expertise onboard the Scenic Eclipse. 

Guests will explore Norway’s fjords and coastal communities before continuing south through Western Europe to Portugal.  

Tastes of Discovery with Chef Begoña Rodrigo (September 23, 2026, Barcelona roundtrip) 

Spanish chef Begoña Rodrigo joins the Scenic Eclipse II for an immersive culinary exploration of the Western Mediterranean.  

Guests will discover Mediterranean destinations, including Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Marseille, Mahón, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and Valencia. 

On both voyages, guests can look forward to live culinary demonstrations and interactive presentations, destination-inspired menus and specialty dining experiences, wine and beverage pairings, as well as insights into regional ingredients, traditions and culinary techniques.
