Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur Arrives in Latin America for Summer Season

Grandeur of the Seas

The Grandeur of the Seas arrived in Latin America in May to kick off a summer season for Royal Caribbean International in the region.

Taking over the company’s year-round operations in the ports, the 1996-built vessel is now offering a series of cruises from Colon in Panamá and Cartagena de Indias in Colombia.

Offered by the Serenade of the Seas during the 2025-26 winter season, the itineraries sail to destinations in the Southern Caribbean.

The deployment is highlighted by the ABC Islands, with visits to Oranjestad in Aruba, Kralendijk in Bonaire and Willemstad in Curaçao.

According to Royal Caribbean, a series of onboard experiences customized for the local market are also being offered in the region.

The ship will continue to sail from Panamá and Colombia for almost an entire year, embarking on a repositioning voyage in late April 2026.

The open-jaw cruise to San Juan precedes a summer season sailing from Puerto Rico to additional destinations in the Southern Caribbean.

The 1,950-passenger ship is then scheduled to return to Latin America in November 2027 for a winter season.

Before kicking off its summer season in Latin America, the Grandeur of the Seas was offering short cruises departing from the Port of Tampa Bay.

The Vision-class vessel concluded its schedule in Florida with a repositioning voyage to Colón, which sailed to the Western and Southern Caribbean.

After departing from the Gulf Coast, the seven-night itinerary featured visits to George Town in the Cayman Islands, Oranjestad in Aruba and Willemstad in Curaçao.

Currently the oldest ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet, the Grandeur is part of the Vision class and entered service in 1996.

Built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, the 74,140-ton vessel was extensively refurbished over the years and offers a range of features, including specialty restaurants, a theater, a glass-enclosed pool deck and a spa.
