Royal Caribbean International recently added a new cruise to the schedule of the maiden season of the new Legend of the Seas.
Currently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, the ship will become the third in the company’s Icon-class series.
Set to debut in Europe, the 5,610-passenger ship is scheduled to offer summer cruises in the Western Mediterranean before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale.
According to an email sent to booked guests, the Legend will now offer a new short cruise ahead of its official debut in Florida.
“The anticipation is building, and we simply can’t wait to welcome guests onboard for our arrival into Fort Lauderdale – so we’re opening the door to an unforgettable adventure sooner than expected,” the company stated.
“To celebrate the excitement, we’re thrilled to share that one additional sailing has been added – creating another opportunity to be among the very first to experience everything this groundbreaking ship has to offer,” Royal Caribbean added.
Sailing to the Bahamas, the newly added voyage will depart from its homeport in Port Everglades on November 8, 2026.
The three-night itinerary features a visit to the company’s private island destination of Perfect Day at CocoCay.
In its email, Royal Caribbean said that passengers who booked the inaugural sailing, which is scheduled to sail from Fort Lauderdale on November 11, 2026, were offered options to change their bookings.
Guests had three options, including keeping their bookings unchanged or moving their reservations to the November 8, 2026, sailing.
The company said that in this case, the updated bookings for the new sailing would follow prevailing rates based on availability.
Before arriving in the United States, the Legend of the Seas is scheduled to welcome its first guests at the Italian port of Civitavecchia on July 4, 2026.
On that day, the 250,800-ton vessel embarks on its inaugural cruise in the Western Mediterranean, which features visits to Italy, Spain and France.
