Ritz-Carlton’s Luminara Makes Inaugural Call to Vancouver Port

Luminara in Alaska

The Port of Vancouver welcomed The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Luminara for the first time.

According to a statement by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, the Luminara arrived on June 8 as part of its new annual Alaska itinerary.

Marking the Canada Place terminal’s first-ever ultra-luxury cruise line visit, this was the first out of nine calls the cruise line is scheduled to make at the port in 2026.

The ship disembarked and embarked passengers, as well as restocked supplies, before heading north through Canada’s Inside Passage on its way to Alaska.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to Vancouver and feel confident their guests will have the experience of a lifetime starting their Alaska cruise in our beautiful port city,” said Jane Banham, director of trade development at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

“The vibrant Canada Place terminal nestled in downtown Vancouver, and the unparalleled access it offers to the breathtaking Inside Passage, are the perfect match for the luxurious experiences offered onboard The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Luminara.”

The Luminara is one of nearly 360 cruise ship calls scheduled to visit the Canada Place terminal this year.

A record 1.4 million passengers are expected to pass through the terminal in 2026, which is its 40th year of operation.
