MSC Cruises has released new images of its upcoming flagship MSC World Asia, highlighting The Spiral @ Tree of Life experience, which is set to become the longest dry slide at sea.
Currently under construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, the new flagship will begin Mediterranean cruises from December 4, 2026.
The World Asia will be offering seven-night itineraries to Mediterranean destinations including Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples and Valletta.
The company said in a press release that at the heart of The Harbour, the Tree of Life will become a visual landmark and social hub where guests can gather before exploring the ship.
From here, an elevated walkway wraps around the Tree of Life, leading guests to The Spiral @Tree of Life.
Stretching 81.3 meters across 12 decks, the Spiral offers a fast and memorable way for guests to move around the ship while enjoying a unique onboard attraction designed for all ages.
It links directly to the World Promenade, a key space for ocean views, dining, entertainment and relaxation.
In the evening, the Tree of Life becomes a focal point of onboard entertainment, enhanced by integrated lighting, music and activities that create an energetic atmosphere for families and groups, the company added.
Rising nearly 10 meters above the deck and weighing close to eight tons, the Tree of Life is equipped with over 150 meters of integrated LED lighting.
Tying into the ship’s broader Asia-inspired elements, MSC stated that the Tree of Life is inspired by the identity of contemporary Asian cities and the iconic Supertrees of Singapore’s Marina Bay.
