Margaritaville at Sea Lines Up 3 Original Shows for Beachcomber

Beachcomber new productions

Margaritaville at Sea Cruise Line is adding three original production shows to the entertainment offering aboard its upcoming ship, the Beachcomber.

Designed exclusively for the ship launching in January 2027, the shows will run multiple times per sailing, the cruise line said in a statement.

“Live music and original entertainment have always been central to the Margaritaville at Sea experience and are one of the ways we create a vacation unlike any other,” said Karen Maybury, vice president of entertainment.

“With Beachcomber, we’re introducing three all-new productions that capture the energy, escapism and sense of fun that define our brand, while giving guests even more ways to immerse themselves in the experience from the moment they step aboard.”

The new shows are:

  • Friday Night Country – a country music production designed to replicate a live outdoor concert, featuring contemporary hits and specialty acts including acrobatics.
  • Red, White & Margaritaville – A rock-driven production following a small-town band pursuing success, incorporating live performances, illusion elements and large-scale staging.
  • Club Fuego – A Latin-themed production drawing on the music and visual influences of Miami, Puerto Rico and Havana offered in two versions: an all-ages show and an adults-only after-hours edition.

While programming was more casual on previous ships, Margaritaville at Sea said the entertainment on the Beachcomber will incorporate larger-scale production design and a wider range of experiences.

Currently sailing as the Costa Fortuna for Costa Cruises, the vessel is set to enter drydock in late September 2026, after which it will emerge as the Beachcomber.

MJM Marine and Mivan were recently hired to deliver a significant proportion of the refurbishment program for the multi-million-pound project.
