Hapag-Lloyd Announces 4 World Music-Themed Cruises in 2026–27

  • June 4, 2026
Europa at sea

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced four special-format sailings dedicated to world music for 2026 and 2027.

Artists from diverse backgrounds will perform at special venues on the Europa, offering various perspectives on music and culture, according to a statement.

“Island magic and the azure-blue Adriatic” (Sep 22 to Oct 4, 2026, 12 days)

This cruise sails from Palma de Mallorca via Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily along the Adriatic coast, stopping in Dubrovnik, Korčula and Trieste before the cruise ends in Venice.

One of the artists featured will be Croatian singer-songwriter Marcela, who describes her own style as “pop in a leather jacket”, combining rock and pop elements with emotional depth.

Next, Italian singer, songwriter and actress FLO will showcase her poetic chansons.

Paula Grande and Vic Moliner bring a Catalan ensemble to the stage that blends jazz with Iberian and Latin American folklore.

The program is complemented by jazz and blues musician Katarina Pejak, who has developed her very own style following a classical education and an international career.

Bookable in the SILVER fare from € 4,790 per person, double occupancy.

“The soul of Spain and the heart of Portugal” (Nov 5-15, 2026, 10 days)

This cruise sails from Palma de Mallorca along the Spanish and Portuguese coast to Malaga, featuring overnight stays in cities such as Barcelona and Lisbon, and stops in destinations such as Valencia, Gibraltar, Portimão and Cadiz, before the cruise ends on the Costa del Sol.

Guests will be able to enjoy the music of Spanish musician Maria Rodés and her contemporary art-folk and dream-pop songs.

Next up is Portuguese singer-songwriter Mimi Froes, blending pop with influences from jazz and traditional Portuguese music.

The line-up is rounded off by Brazilian musician Anna Setton, who blends traditional Brazilian sounds with modern jazz elements.

Bookable in the SILVER fare from € 4,690 per person, double occupancy.

“The diverse west coast of the American continent” (Feb 17 to Mar 18, 2027, 29 days)

In 2027, the Europa will set sail from Valparaiso in Chile, heading north along the Pacific coast, stopping in Peru, Ecuador, Panama and Costa Rica, continuing along the Mexican Riviera, passing through California with stops in San Diego and Santa Barbara, and bringing the cruise to an end in San Francisco.

This cruise features Mexican artist, singer, producer and DJ Pahua, who blends Latin American rhythms with electronic sounds to create her distinctive style.

There is also Evelyn Dupuy, who fuses Afro-Cuban rhythmic traditions with influences from pop, jazz and modern production.

Finally, guests will also be able to listen to Luiza Brina, a Brazilian singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist.

Bookable in the SILVER fare from € 12,890 per person, double occupancy.

“The charm of the Canary Islands meets oriental magic” (25 Oct to 6 Nov 2027, 12 days)

This cruise from Palma de Mallorca to Tenerife will feature renowned artists who will transform the Europa into a floating festival.

Bookable in the PLATINUM fare from € 5,990 per person, double occupancy.
