The Hanseatic Spirit underwent its first scheduled drydocking for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, spending 10 days at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven.
The ship got a fresh coat of paint and public spaces were refurbished to align with the “inspired by nature” design concept, according to a statement.
“Hapag-Lloyd Cruises enjoys a trusting partnership with Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven,” said Isolde Susset, managing director at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.
“The renovations onboard the Hanseatic Spirit demonstrate the professional and dedicated way in which the Lloyd Werft team works. We are delighted to present the refurbished relaxation areas to our guests.”
In the spa area, a new heater was installed in the Finnish sauna, and the mosaic walls in the spa showers and steam bath were refurbished. Some showers in the cabins and suites were also renewed.
The Hanseatic Restaurant received a fresh coat of paint and new carpeting, while the French specialty restaurant L’Esprit, the Observation Lounge and reception were fitted with new floors.
The ship left the floating dock in Bremerhaven on Friday, June 5, to welcome guests at the Columbuskaje pier for its first cruise after the work, Hapag-Lloyd said.
That evening, the ship set off on an eight-day cruise to Rotterdam, Scheveningen, Zeebrugge, Texel, Sylt, Helgoland and Hamburg, where it was set to arrive on June 13, 2026.
The ship is now scheduled to sail a ten-day “Wild Scotland” expedition on June 21, before starting its Arctic season.
