Cunard Launches Sweepstakes for Queen Mary 2’s 450th Crossing

Queen Mary 2

Cunard has launched a sweepstakes that offers travelers the chance to win passage on the Queen Mary 2’s 450th transatlantic crossing this November, according to a press release.

“Transatlantic travel is the foundation of Cunard’s rich heritage and remains one of the most iconic experiences in luxury travel today,” said Liz Fettes, senior vice president, commercial, North America and Australasia at Cunard.

“This milestone is a testament to the 186 years of history, connection and unforgettable voyages across the Atlantic.”

The crossing, sailing from Southampton to New York from November 10-17, 2026, marks a milestone for the line as it also celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence this summer.

The prize includes the crossing for two guests, along with flights, hotel accommodations in Southampton and transportation to and from the port.

Entries are open through July 31, 2026.

The announcement comes ahead of Cunard’s participation in Sail4th 250, the July 4 celebration in New York Harbor marking America’s 250th anniversary, which will feature the largest international flotilla of tall ships and naval vessels ever assembled.

July 4 also marks the anniversary of Cunard’s first crossing, when the RMS Britannia departed Liverpool for Boston in 1840, launching what the company said was the world’s first regularly scheduled transatlantic steamship service.
