Carnival to Offer Frightfully Fun Cruises in 2026

Carnival Cruise Line will offer a series of “Frightfully Fun” cruises across its fleet ahead of Halloween in 2026.

According to an update shared by the company’s Brand Ambassador John Heald, the sailings will take place between late September and late October.

“Halloween is a brilliant time to cruise, and as tradition demands, we will be celebrating this fabulously fun event, featuring a decorated ship Halloween-style and a costume parade throughout the month of October,” Heald said.

All of Carnival’s 29 vessels will offer the special cruises, including the company’s three Australia-based ships.

The company said that the vessels will be spooked up with Halloween fun and activities for the sailings.

The Carnival Luminosa will kick off the series of special sailings, with the first cruise scheduled to sail from San Francisco on September 20, 2026.

The “Frightfully Fun” season ends on October 31, 2026, with 12 ships sailing from their homeports for their last themed sailings, including the Carnival Adventure, the Carnival Dream, the Carnival Elation, the Carnival Encounter, the Carnival Jubilee and the Carnival Magic.

The Mardi Gras, the Carnival Spirit, the Carnival Sunrise, the Carnival Sunshine, the Carnival Valor and the Carnival Vista will also start their final special sailings on Halloween.

Carnival said that while all of the ships will offer special decorations and activities, the Carnival Luminosa, the Carnival Legend, and the Carnival Freedom will not offer the Patch the Pumpkin Pirate activity.

In related news, the company recently announced plans to offer its first President’s Cruise, with President Christine Duffy set to sail onboard the Carnival Magic in early 2027.

Carnival is also introducing a new cruise card design, as well as an updated milestone program as part of its new Carnival Rewards program.
