The Carnival Magic has returned to service with a new mini golf course among the upgrades completed during the ship’s recent drydock.
The nine-hole course was installed by Adventure Golf & Sports (AGS), replacing an existing course supplied. The demolition of the previous course was handled by the ship ahead of the AGS team’s arrival.
The new ADA-compliant course features a bamboo theme, with faux lumber obstacles, arched bridges and a walking bridge.
It also incorporates several of the company’s specialty props, including pachinko, return to me, big bank sweep and bamboo sweep. Weathered posts surround the course, and two bean bag toss units round out the installation.
The mini golf course was one of several additions made during the ship’s 35-day drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard. As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the Carnival Magic entered the yard on April 19, 2026.
Other spaces refreshed onboard included the casino and arcade, while retail areas across the gift shops and the Effy Jewelry boutique were also updated. The Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center were renovated, as were the WaterWorks aqua park and pool decks. In addition, the Lido restaurant layout was redesigned.
The Carnival Magic is now resuming sailings from Miami, offering cruises to destinations across the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
The ship is the second in Carnival’s fleet to feature the cruise line’s new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest. The first was the Carnival Legend, which returned to service on May 20 following a 16-day drydock at the same shipyard.
