Viking has unveiled its 2028–29 World Cruise itineraries lasting 125 to 170 days, according to a statement.

Guests onboard will get a chance to transit the Panama Canal, journey along the West Coast of North America and cross the Pacific Ocean to explore destinations such as Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia.

The ships call at ports throughout Southeast Asia and Africa, including overnight stays in ports such as Sydney, Singapore, Zanzibar, Cape Town and Casablanca, before concluding in Europe.

“Our approach has always been to focus on the destination,” said Torstein Hagen, executive chairman of Viking. “Our World Cruises are thoughtfully designed for curious travelers who have the time and desire to experience dozens of phenomenal destinations around the globe in one seamless journey.”

The 142-day Viking World Cruise onboard the Viking Vesta departs Fort Lauderdale on December 21, 2028. Its itinerary spans six continents and 31 countries and concludes in London on May 12, 2029.

Those wishing to extend their journey can choose the 170-day Viking World Voyage III, that continues from London and visits 21 additional ports in Northern Europe and Scandinavia before concluding in Stockholm.

Another option is the 153-day Viking World Voyage IV, which sails from Los Angeles to Stockholm and visits 37 countries.

There is also the shorter 125-day Viking World Discoveries voyage, which departs from Los Angeles, visits 27 countries and concludes in London.

Cultural enrichment is available on all voyages in the form of lectures and entertainment, including the Viking Resident Historian program, which provides guests with historical and cultural education specific to their journey.

Guests can also go on included excursions or pick optional multi-day overland excursions for deeper exploration, such as the six-day Uluru & Great Barrier Reef; six-day India’s Golden Triangle; or the five-day Kruger National Park Overland excursion.

Special savings on cruises are available to North American travelers as part of the cruise line’s Spring Sale lasting until May 31, 2026.

This includes free business class airfare and transfers, a $4,000 per couple shore excursion credit, a $4,000 per couple shipboard credit for returning guests and a 10 percent discount on the deposit.
