TUI Cruises has announced that it will again support the Familienschutzwerk eV project this year by supporting KidsAnker from Hamburg.

KidsAnker is an outpatient children’s and youth hospice service and supports families with chronically ill, dependent and children, adolescents and young adults with life-limiting conditions.

Last year, guests and employees of TUI Cruises raised 66,000 euros as part of the sponsorship project.

“With our sponsorship project, we support a different organization each year, which is selected by our colleagues,” said Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, of the support.

Throughout the year, employees and guests are involved in various activities for a good cause, such as the grand raffle as part of the internal year-opening event or the annual raffle onboard,” Meier added.

Phillip Schneider of Familienschutzwerk eV, added: “The support is of great importance to our association and especially to the children.”

The company said in a press release that employees select the project, and staff and guests are involved in various activities for the sponsorship project throughout the year.

Last year TUI raised €66,000 for the Familienschutzwerk eV in Berlin as part of the sponsorship project.

The Berlin association advocates for children from difficult family circumstances. The work of the Family Protection Agency is divided into three areas: the children’s kitchen, saving lives and fulfilling hearts’ desires.

According to the press release, children not only receive a healthy meal in the kitchen but also find a protected place for the community to recharge their batteries and learn through play.

This is complemented by homework support, excursions and workshops as well as varied afternoon programs with dance and sports courses.
