Royal Caribbean Changes Allure Itinerary Due to Technical Issue

The Allure of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International changed the current itinerary of the Allure of the Seas due to a technical issue.

According to a statement shared with passengers onboard, the 2010-built ship is facing problems with one of its propulsion systems.

“While our team works to resolve this, we’ll be sailing at a reduced speed and will need to make a slight adjustment to our itinerary,” Royal Caribbean explained.

After sailing from Port Everglades on May 24, 2026, the Allure is currently offering a cruise that was scheduled to sail to destinations in the Bahamas and Jamaica.

The six-night itinerary originally featured a visit to Falmouth, in addition to stops in Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Royal Caribbean said that the call to the Jamaican cruise port, which was scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, had to be cancelled due to the issue. Instead, the Allure of the Seas sailed to Nassau, where it docked at 1:45 AM.

“Once the ship has been cleared and the gangways are set up, guests will be able to debark and begin enjoying Nassau around 7:30 AM,” the company continued.

Guests will have a full day to explore the port before departure at 5:30 PM, Royal Caribbean added, noting that the ship will spend Thursday, May 28, 2026, at sea as scheduled.

The 5,552-passenger vessel will then return to Nassau on Friday, May 29, 2026, for a second full-day visit.

“We’re terribly sorry for this last-minute change. Please know that your safety and comfort are always our top priorities,” the company continued.

As a “thank you for their understanding,” Royal Caribbean is offering passengers an onboard credit, with amounts varying by stateroom category.

Inside and oceanview cabins will receive $100, while balcony rooms will receive $150 and suites will receive $200. Each third and fourth passengers is also set to get an additional $50 credit.

Royal Caribbean added that pre-paid shore excursions booked with the company will be automatically refunded as refundable onboard credit.

Before its double call to Nassau, the cruise also included a visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas. The visit to the cruise port took place as scheduled on Monday, May 25, 2026.
