Marella Cruises has highlighted five European gardens that guests can visit during its cruises this spring.

In a press release, the cruise line described them as ideal for travelers looking to enjoy a floral escape and explore new green spaces while on holiday.

Marivent Gardens – Palma, Majorca

Sitting outside of Palma, these gardens combine Mediterranean flora with sculptures by contemporary local artists.

Filled with shaded walkways, hedges and spring flowers, the Gardens offer a place to unwind while in Palma.

The gardens can be visited during the seven-night Treasures of the Mediterranean cruise sailing roundtrip from Palma, Majorca on the Marella Explorer on May 30, 2026.

Prices start at £1,479 per person.

Achilleion Palace Gardens – Corfu, Greece

A hillside retreat built for Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sisi, this garden features old statues of Achilles and other mythological figures, surrounded by cypress trees, palms and courtyards, boasting views over the Ioanian Sea.

The gardens can be visited during the seven-night Iconic Islands cruise sailing roundtrip from Corfu Town, Corfu on the Marella Voyager on May 27, 2026.

Prices start at £1,527 per person.

Trsteno Arboretum – Dubrovnik, Croatia

This is one of Europe’s oldest arboretums dating back to the 15th century, filled with ancient trees, exotic plants, stone pathways and an aqueduct with views of the Adriatic Sea.

For fans of Game of Thrones, this was one of the filming locations for the series.

The garden can be visited during the seven-night Sail Three Seas cruise roundtrip from Dubrovnik, Croatia, on the Marella Explorer 2 on May 28, 2026.

Prices start at £1,500 per person.

Villa Borghese Gardens – Rome, Italy

Guests can escape Rome’s noise in the Villa Borghese Gardens and enjoy the lawns, rowboat on the Borghese Lake or visit one of the museums based in the gardens.

The Gardens are home to Galleria Borghese, where guests can view works by Italian masters Bernini and Titian.

Jardin Exotique – Monaco, France

Having reopened last month after six years of renovation, this cliffside garden above Monaco offers views of the Mediterranean Sea.

In addition to rare succulents and cacti from around the world, visitors can visit the pre-historic cave beneath the garden.

The garden can be visited during the seven-night Highlights of the Mediterranean cruise sailing roundtrip from Malaga, Spain on the Marella Discovery 2 on May 19, 2026, to Sanremo (for Monaco), Italy.
