LTH-Baas has completed drydock projects on two cruise ships, including cabin installations on the Ovation of the Seas and exhaust system work on the Harmony of the Seas, according to the company.

The Ovation of the Seas project, completed during a drydock in Singapore, included the installation of 26 new guest staterooms, including six suite cabins on Deck 16.

“The successful completion further strengthens LTH-Baas’ position as a turnkey cruise industry partner able to deliver both guest-facing refurbishment and highly technical ship repair scopes with quality and reliability,” the company said.

LTH-Baas also worked on HVAC across the vessel, including 3,500 meters of ventilation ducts.

With up to 350 specialists onboard, the company managed 24/7 execution through the day and night shifts.

A significant part of materials and components were also prefabricated before the installation to reduce onboard working time.

The Harmony of the Seas project, completed in a drydock in Cádiz, Spain, focused on the vessel’s exhaust gas system, according to LTH-Baas.

The scope included replacement and repair work on DN1600 exhaust lines, DN1800 expansion bellows, telescopic tail pipes, cone sections, spool pieces, silencers and related steel structures.

These systems operate under demanding thermal and vibration conditions, making accuracy in prefabrication, lifting, welding and final installation critical, the company said.

LTH-Baas coordinated more than 50 major crane lifts to move and install large pipe sections and technical structures safely within the drydock period.
