Explora Journeys has opened sales for its Summer 2028 Journeys Collection.

In a press release, the company said the new collection represents a significant expansion of its global presence, spanning 178 destinations across 27 countries.

Explora noted that the season’s highlight would be the debut of the Explora VI in August 2028, bringing the fleet to six ships.

Its construction started in March, when the Explora IV was also launched and the coin ceremony for the Explora V was held.

“This new Journeys Collection is a true celebration of all that Explora Journeys stands for, fulfilling our long-held vision of six ships sailing the world’s oceans by 2028,” said Anna Nash, president of Explora Journeys.

“By opening sales today, we are inviting our guests to secure their place in what will be a landmark year. The completion of our fleet allows us to offer even greater geographic breadth and deeper immersion into each region, providing our guests with an unparalleled choice of transformative ocean Journeys and an even richer expression of the Ocean State of Mind.”

Summer 2028 overview:

Explora I

From April through October, the ship will visit six countries and 25 destinations in the Mediterranean.

Destinations include the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Turkish Coast, Mykonos and an overnight stay in Istanbul.

Explora II

Exploring the Western Mediterranean, North Africa and the French and Italian Rivieras, the ship visits 36 destinations across Iberia and the Atlantic edge from April through October.

Itineraries span the Balearic Islands, Madeira, featuring an overnight stay in Lisbon and late departures from eight ports including Ibiza, Capri and Casablanca.

Explora III

Returning to Alaska from May through September, the ship visits 20 destinations across the USA and Canada.

Itineraries sail through the Inside Passage and the Gulf of Alaska, with calls to Juneau, Skagway and smaller communities such as Wrangell and Klawock.

Explora IV

From May through October, the ship will sail Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea, visiting 51 destinations across 15 countries.

Guests can cycle along Amsterdam’s canals or stroll the royal parks of Stockholm, or discover more remote shores thanks to 11 maiden calls, including Runavík in the Faroe Islands and Djúpivogur in Iceland.

Explora V

The ship, whose bow section was recently launched at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard in Sicily, will explore the Baltic Sea, the Norwegian fjords and the North Atlantic before reaching Iceland and Greenland from May to September.

The season then moves to the North American Eastern Seaboard, featuring overnight stays in New York City and Quebec City and late departures from Halifax and Boston.

Explora VI

The ship will have 13 Mediterranean journeys from August to November 2028. Starting with her maiden journey from Rome to Barcelona, itineraries will pass through Sicily, Sardinia and the French Riviera.

October and November will see visits to the ports of Trogir and Dubrovnik in Croatia and the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.
