Crystal Serenity Heading to Drydock in October

Crystal Serenity

The Crystal Serenity will enter drydock in October 2026 for a scheduled three-week refurbishment, Crystal Cruises shared in a statement.

“Following the successful drydock of Crystal Symphony, our work aboard Crystal Serenity is guided first and foremost by the guest experience,” said Bernie Leypold, senior vice president of hotel operations for Crystal.

“These enhancements underscore our commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences for our guests at every touchpoint, while ensuring that Crystal Serenity continues to feel as welcoming and enriching as the journeys themselves.”

One of the things the updates will focus on is the Aquamarine Classic Suite category on deck 10 to align it with the design style introduced during the ship’s 2023 transformation.

The living area and bathrooms are getting new furnishings while retaining the existing layout.

The corridors on deck 10 will receive new carpet and wallpaper.

Two decks up, a new Pool Bar will be added on deck 12, enabling guests to get refreshments without leaving the Seahorse Pool area.

Several other public spaces will be refurbished, such as the Atrium and Crystal Cove, which is getting a new marble dance floor and a new stage for live entertainment, among other things, while new sound and entertainment systems will be installed in the ship’s main public areas.

Chairs at the Waterside Restaurant, Stardust Club, Seahorse Pool and Marketplace will be replaced or reupholstered to increase guest comfort.

In addition to aesthetic updates, the ship will undergo technical upgrades to optimize performance and efficiency.

This includes work along the propulsion line and a mechanical overhaul of fins.

The ship’s hull will be cleaned and repainted and electrical and automation upgrades introduced to modernize onboard systems.

The ship will then resume service on November 8 with a 15-day Transatlantic voyage from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale ahead of her Caribbean season.
