Adora Flora City Begins Sea Trials

Adora Flora City

The Adora Flora City has embarked on its maiden set of sea trials, marking the final phase before its delivery later this year.

The vessel departed from the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) berth on May 16, commencing a comprehensive 12-day testing program in the East China Sea.

The sea trials will test the ship’s propulsion, maneuverability, navigation systems and hotel services under real-world conditions, ensuring all systems meet international safety and operational standards.

The Flora City is a sister ship to the Magic City, both constructed at the SWS facility.

On May16 the ships were also photographed together at sea for the first time.

Owned and operated by Adora Cruises, the 142,000-gross-ton Adora Flora City is slated for delivery by the end of 2026. Following its delivery, the ship is scheduled to reposition to South China.

Tickets for its maiden voyage season officially went on sale on May 20, with the global debut voyage set for November 22, 2026, from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport. The inaugural itinerary is a six-day cruise from Guangzhou to Hong Kong and Hue, Vietnam.
