ACL Celebrating U.S. 250th Anniversary with Logo and Special Activities

American Cruise Lines is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States with a series of special activities across its fleet.

As part of its “Celebrating 250 Years of America” campaign, the cruise line has introduced a program of onboard celebratory initiatives.

Originally announced in February, the program is highlighted by a 250th-inspired game show and daily announcements of U.S. historical trivia, as well as red, white and blue-themed cocktail parties and desserts.

American will offer a special 52-day cruise to celebrate the event, the “Great United States Cruise,” which will give guests a chance to witness the fireworks display over Boston Harbor on the 4th of July.

Other celebrations on American’s cruises will include fireworks and additional events across its 21-ship fleet.

Sailing a series of U.S.-built and -flagged ships, the company also introduced a new commemorative logo, which is being added to the bow of all its vessels and riverboats.

Operating in 35 states, American ships are also bearing large U.S. flags over their sides on embarkation days.

In addition to the livery changes, the company also introduced celebratory badges to crew uniforms, as well as a series of collectible pins and other celebratory keepsake gifts.

Carnival Cruise Line recently announced a similar initiative with the addition of a special commemorative crest to all its U.S.-based ships.

The “From Sea to Shining Sea” crest was said to be inspired by “America the Beautiful” and debuted on the Carnival Legend on May 20, 2026.

Other vessels in the company’s fleet are set to gain the new addition gradually as they enter drydock for routine maintenance.

Guests sailing with Carnival between June 4 and July 4 will also enjoy patriotic events onboard, including trivia, crafts and ship meet-ups timed for July 4 fireworks on both coasts.
