Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed James Doohan to the role of business development executive, North.

Doohan joins from Althams Travel, where he worked as assistant manager for the last two years.

Ambassador’s Deputy Head of Trade, Karen Cameron, said: “I am delighted to welcome Doohan to the Ambassador family, which will only benefit our trade partners in the North of England as we look to continue providing them with all the support and tools they need.”

“The addition of someone with his experience illustrates just how highly we value our agent partners, who can rest assured that Ambassador will be with them every step of the way as we look to continue serving both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible,” added Cameron.

Doohan has over 10 years of experience in the travel industry, having previously held the position of travel advisor in TUI retail.

Ambassador said in a statement that Doohan will report to Divisional Sales Manager Emma Rodgers and will be responsible for fostering existing commercial relationships in his area to maximize sales opportunities.

He will also drive day-to-day trading while instigating new agent and trade partnerships.
