AIDA has announced that it is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an Innovation Hub, inviting start-ups, universities and companies to submit innovative ideas.

The company said in a press release that applications will be accepted in three categories: decarbonization, sustainability and artificial intelligence and smart tools.

The finalists will present their project ideas to a jury of experts, including:

  • Professor Dr. Meike Jipp, head of energy and transport at the German Aerospace Center
  • Anisa Rizvanolli, team leader of maritime scientific computing and optimization Fraunhofer CML, and
  • Professor Dr. Ali Arnaout, head of the International Management program at Wismar University of Applied Sciences.

The winners of the respective categories can further develop their concepts with AIDA.

Entries are now open on the company’s website.

“30 years of AIDA are above all a joint success. Our company history would not be possible without the great commitment of our partners, employees and companions. We’re very grateful for that,” said Melanie Marra, vice president of marketing and e-commerce at AIDA Cruises.

“Together, we create experiences that connect, onboard, in ports and far beyond,” added Marra.

AIDA added that guests can expect occasions to celebrate in three German ports.

Hamburg will kick things off on June 7, 2026, where the AIDAsol, AIDAperla and AIDAprima will meet for a parade on the Elbe.

On June 20, 2026, the Kiel Week will be celebrated, and the AIDAnova will be featured. For Warnemünde Week on July 4, 2026, the AIDAdiva will return to its homeport, where AIDA Cruises began operations in 1996.

In addition, the company said that during the birthday year, AIDA fans and friends can join the community campaign “Hi AIDA let’s celebrate!” and submit photos that focus on moments from 30 years told by guests, employees and sales partners.
