ABS and Alfred Maritime Ink MOU to Enhance Vessel Safety

ABS Alfred Maritime

ABS has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Meyer Group’s Alfred Maritime to explore technical projects.

According to a statement, the deal establishes a framework for collaboration across three key areas: fleet performance and health monitoring, maintenance optimization and safety and emergency systems.

“ABS is committed to helping shape the future of cruise vessel safety, reliability and performance. We are pleased to join Alfred Maritime in this agreement to work together to advance the next generation of cruise vessel operations,” said Joshua Divin, ABS senior vice president, Marine Business Development.

Both organizations aim to reduce operational redundancies and streamline regulatory and maintenance activities by aligning digital insights with class‑based processes, the statement reads.

In parallel, they intend to strengthen safety frameworks to support more reliable cruise operations.

“The partnership with ABS allows us to unlock powerful synergies that will drive operational excellence and safety for the cruise sector. By combining our collective expertise, we are accelerating our shared vision for innovation and advancing our digital solution portfolio for the maritime industry,” noted Paul Meyer, managing director, Alfred Maritime.
