Queen Mary 2 Arrives in Sydney During 2026 World Voyage

Queen Mary 2 in Sydney

Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 arrived in Sydney Harbour on March 4 during her 108-night World Voyage from Southampton.

The vessel sailed into the harbor with the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge as a backdrop.

“For 185 years, Cunard ships have transported more than passengers; they have been the bearer of stories, ideas and human connection,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard. “Queen Mary 2 represents a style of travel that values depth over speed and experience over urgency.”

During the Sydney call, Australian author Anna Funder unveiled ‘’A Letter from Australia to the World’”, a collection of more than 500 letters submitted by Australians.

The letters will travel aboard Queen Mary 2 as she sails across Asia, Africa and Europe, where guests will be invited to read and respond, the company said in a press release.

Following her Sydney call, the ship continues her journey across the Asia-Pacific region before returning to Southampton in April 2026.

The Queen Mary 2 departed Southampton in January for the world voyage. The itinerary includes calls across Asia, Africa and Europe.
