Princess Cruises Adds 4 New Experiences to North to Alaska Program

  • March 23, 2026
Star Princess in Alaska

Princess Cruises has announced four new immersive onboard experiences as part of its North to Alaska program in 2026.

According to a press release, the expanded program features 180 departures and visits to 19 destinations, giving travelers a chance to experience Alaska by sea or through combined land-and-sea cruisetours.

The new programming will be featured on all eight Princess ships sailing in Alaska this season: the Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Discovery Princess and Island Princess.

The experiences will complete what the company said will be its largest Alaska season ever, highlighted by the debut of its newest ship in the fleet, the Star Princess.

“Our North to Alaska program is designed to bring guests closer to the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Alaska in ways only Princess can deliver,” said John-Paul Lamb, Princess Cruises vice president of entertainment.

“From encounters with local experts and native storytellers to immersive entertainment and scenic glacier viewing, these experiences allow our guests to connect with Alaska along every step of their journey.”

The company said its immersive North to Alaska program connects guests with Alaska’s heritage and nature through authentic offerings, educational events and entertainment both onboard and ashore.

New North to Alaska Experiences for 2026:

The Glacier Experience: A Signature Princess Day:

This experience is part of scenic cruises which include close‑up glacier views, expert narration, park ranger commentary from the bridge and on deck offered on select Glacier Bay sailings and access to VIP viewing areas.

Visits to ranger information desks are also possible, as well as attending presentations at the Princess Theater or Princess Arena, participation in junior and teen ranger programs and warm up on the open decks with hot chocolate and consommé stations.

Welcome to Alaska

This presentation is designed to help guests get the most from their experience in ways that are most meaningful to them, the company explained.

Guests can meet a naturalist, enrichment presenters and learn about the North to Alaska program during this experience that is offered once per voyage and hosted by the cruise director.

Après Sea: Elevated Post-Adventure Experience

This experience allows guests to unwind in an après-ski inspired lounge and enjoy happy hour with warm drinks and panoramic views after a day exploring.

The Star Princess will host Après Sea in The Dome, offering what Princess describes as magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes from its location at the top of the ship.

Candlelight Concert Series: Fire & Ice:

An extension of Princess’ current Candlelight Concert Series, the Fire & Ice experience will feature performances by Alaskan singer-songwriters by the candlelight and be offered only twice per voyage.

Additionally, new featured à la carte offerings are available at the specialty restaurants onboard to complement the guests’ Alaskan journey.

At Crown Grill, guests can taste seafood specialties including Wild King Salmon, Alaskan Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Jumbo Lump Crab paired with Butter-Broiled Lobster Tail.

In addition to this, Halibut alla Mediterranea is available at Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria.
