Adora Orders Two New Large Cruise Ships in China

Signing for new ships

China Tourism Group Co. and China State Shipbuilding Corporation have formally signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on New Domestic Cruise Shipbuilding Projects, with plans to build two cruise ships with one option for Adora Cruises.

The first ship is due to be delivered by 2030, according to a press release. Further details were not released.

Adora serves the contemporary cruise market in China, sailing large vessels.

The new ships will join the Adora Mediterranea and the Chinese-built Adora Magic City and Adora Flora City, which launches later this year.

Of note, the company said Adora is planning overseas homeporting operations, meaning it plans to sail from ports outside mainland China.
