Azamara Cruises is launching its 2027 Alaska Cruisetours collection of journeys, the company, which is set to return to Alaska this summer, said in a statement.

This will give guests the opportunity to combine Alaskan cruises with guided pre- and post-cruise land tours across Alaska and Western Canada.

“The return to Alaska in 2026 reaffirms what we hear time and again from our guests, that deeper, more immersive experiences are what matter most,” said Shandra Stoeterau, director of land product development at Azamara Cruises.

“Guest feedback played a critical role in shaping our 2027 Alaska Cruisetours, allowing us to thoughtfully extend our Destination Immersion® philosophy beyond the coastline and into Alaska’s interior and the Canadian Rockies, while maintaining the seamless, one-stop experience travelers value.”

Available in four, five, and six-night programs, the Cruisetours are paired with Azamara’s 10- and 11-night Alaska sailings.

They combine visits to several destinations with transfers, accommodation, guided tours, meals, and more.

Cruisetour highlights include:

  • Alaska Explorer: Available as pre- and post-cruise options, this four-night journey showcases Alaska’s interior, with visits to destinations such as Chena River, where guests can pan for gold, Deluxe Dome Railcar rides, and exploration of Denali National Park.
  • Canadian Rockies: Guests on this five-night post-cruise journey travel through the Canadian Rockies aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train.
  • Banff, Lake Louise & Whistler: Offered as a pre-cruise option, this six-night itinerary takes guests from Calgary to Vancouver, with visits to Banff and Lake Louise, and a bear viewing experience by Land Rover.

Additionally, some of the 2027 Alaska Cruisetours are paired with transpacific sailings from Northern Japan to Alaska.

This way, guests get to explore Japan before crossing the Pacific and continuing inland through Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.

This follows a recent announcement by the company that it would relaunch its Azamara Ashore land programs for destination immersion.
