Sevilla Cruise Port has launched its 2026 cruise season with the arrival of Azamara Cruises’ Journey, marking the fourth consecutive year Azamara starts the cruise season in the city.
Nearly 90 calls are scheduled to visit the city between February and December, four of which will call at the city for the first time, Sevilla Cruise Port said in a statement.
This will also include the Belle de Cadix, which has Sevilla as its homeport.
The 670 passengers aboard the Azamara Journey, mainly from the United States and Canada, and 400 crew members, will stay in Sevilla for two nights.
“From this first call of 2026, Sevilla will benefit from the management of industry leaders who have placed their trust in the port’s potential to position the city as a cruise and megayacht destination, promoting a sustainable, high-value tourism model,” said Rafael Carmona, President of the Sevilla Port Authority, during a visit to the vessel.
The visit was also attended by Angie Moreno, Councilor for Tourism of Sevilla City Council, and representatives of Global Ports Holding (GPH) and Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM).
As announced at the end of last year, GPH and OPM formed a 25-year partnership to oversee cruise and megayacht operations at the port.

As part of this new era for the port, Beatrice Rasmini has been appointed General Manager of Sevilla Cruise Port.
Bringing industry experience to the role, Rasmini will oversee the day-to-day operations and the strategic implementation of the investment plan.
