Corazul Cruceros has announced the launch of a new cruise brand developed specifically for the Spanish market, with first sailings scheduled for July 2026.
The brand is designed for Spanish-speaking families and groups seeking a cruise experience aligned with their language and culture.
“We believe the market has been waiting for a tailor-made Iberian product for a long time. A product that was very successful in the past but has unfortunately disappeared and allows us to fill this void,” said Àlex Busquets, vice president of sales at Corazul Cruceros.
“We want to bring family home comfort to sea, where our guest is not a minority on the ship, but feels right at home and is surrounded by peers in an Iberian atmosphere.”
The brand will debut with the Buenavista as the first ship in its fleet. The ship will accommodate 2,000 passengers and is scheduled to enter service in July 2026, with an inaugural cruise planned for July 8.
The Buenavista was originally built as the Oriana for P&O Cruises in the British market. The ship was sold to Astro Ocea Cruises in 2018/ and operated as the Piano Land. The ship has will now be renamed the Buenavista for the Spanish market.
Spanish will be the primary onboard language, followed by Portuguese and English. Shore excursions will be conducted in Spanish.
The brand will focus on Mediterranean sailings, with a short Caribbean season and Brazil sailings from November through February. The company is exploring visa-free cruise itineraries in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly as visa requirements have become more difficult to obtain for certain markets.
The sales strategy will benefit travel agents, with no direct-to-consumer sales planned..
“One of our unique selling points is that we guarantee B2B cabin sales. There will be no direct-to-consumer sales now, nor in the future. This makes working with Corazul especially interesting for online travel agents,” said Busquets.
The launch follows the collapse of Pullmantur, which was the primary Spanish cruise brand before it ceased operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Details on ship operations management and ownership structure have not yet been disclosed.
Ticket sales begin February 1, 2026.
