bremerhaven port concludes 2025 season

Bremerhaven Cruise Port, operated by Global Ports Holding, has concluded the 2025 cruise season with solid operational performance, setting a positive outlook for 2026.

The port said it hosted 100 cruise calls throughout the year, welcoming approximately 292,000 passengers.

Timo Schoen, general manager of Bremerhaven Cruise Port, said: “The 2025 season demonstrated Bremerhaven’s strength as a turnaround port, particularly in managing complex operations and peak embarkation days.”

“Our focus remains on operational efficiency, close coordination with cruise line partners, and continuous improvement as we prepare for a strong 2026 season,” added Schoen.

The port added in a press release that its performance in 2025 highlights its ability to manage high-volume turnaround days while maintaining consistent service standards.

Bremerhaven Cruise Port is supported by a long single cruise pier capable of accommodating up to three large cruise vessels simultaneously. The terminal is equipped with adjustable passenger boarding bridges, six dedicated embarkation points and structured passenger processing areas.

Check-in facilities are located on the ground floor, alongside a dedicated luggage drop-off area, enabling smooth passenger flow and efficient handling on turnaround days.

The port said that the upcoming season is anticipated to include a mix of returning cruise lines and itineraries.

Bremerhaven stated that it offers a diverse range of shore excursion opportunities that enhance the turnaround experience for cruise passengers.

In addition to local attractions, excursions to Bremen, one of Germany’s most historic cities, remain a key highlight, offering access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, cultural landmarks and the city center.

The port said it will continue to focus on operational excellence, cooperation with cruise line partners and the development of destination and shore excursion offerings that add value to itineraries.
