Phoenix Reisen announced that summer 2026 will be the final season for the Deutschland, which it operates on a seasonal charter agreement. Semester at Sea operates the ship for the rest of the year.
“The summer charter of the classic ship, which was originally scheduled to end in 2025, was extended by Phoenix Reisen for another year during the pandemic. Now it’s time to say a final goodbye to the floating grand hotel,” the company said in a statement.
The 1998-built ship will operate between May and October, Phoenix Reisen said.
