NW Europe: Steady Luxury Market Capacity in 2025/26

Cruises visiting the Baltic, Norwegian fjords, Greenland/Iceland, the UK and Scotland are maintaining capacity growth within the luxury market this year also for 2026, according to Cruise Industry News’ 2025 Luxury Report.

The report, which provides an in-depth overview and analyses of the market, has reported that the region will see a 5.6 percent and 10.8 percent increase in 2025 and 2026, respectively.

The NW Europe region will also continue to see 40 ships entering the region over the next two years.

According to the market report, Viking is leading the way, accommodating most of the region’s market. Other prominent players continuing to sail in the region include Ponant and Swan Hellenic.

New to the region is The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, with one vessel scheduled to cruise in Northern Europe in 2025 and again in 2026.

Explora returns to NW Europe in 2026 with one ship, accommodating 2.6 percent of the region’s market share.

According to the report, Scenic will be adding another ship to the region in 2026.
