MSC Cruises is set to offer exclusive itineraries during its 2025-26 winter season in Brazil and South America.

Following a record-breaking winter cruise program in 2024-25, the company will deploy five ships in South America between October 2025 and April 2026.

According to Ignacio Palacios, MSC Cruises’ sales and revenue director in Brazil, one highlight of the season is exclusive itineraries to the country’s Northeast region.

“In the Northeast, we have the best and only itineraries. It will be something exclusive to MSC,” he said during a roadshow in São Paulo earlier this month.

Returning for its fourth consecutive season in the country, the MSC Seaview offers seven-night cruises to the Northeast departing from Santos.

In addition to three days at sea, the ship’s regular itinerary sails to Búzios before visiting Maceió and Salvador.

“It’s a cruise that has been very well received by our clients, both this year and last year. After all, the Northeast is the preferred destination for Brazilians in the country,” said Palacios, noting that the route was first introduced by the company in 2022.

Sailing from Rio de Janeiro during the 2025-26 season, the MSC Armonia is also scheduled to offer cruises to the Northeast.

The ship’s regular seven-night itinerary to the region features visits to Ilhéus, Salvador and Maceió before returning to Rio.

As part of a series of itineraries to Argentina and Uruguay onboard the MSC Preziosa, MSC will be the only cruise line to visit the town of Punta del Este on itineraries departing from Brazil.

“It’s a beautiful city and a unique feature of our itineraries. No one else offers visits there,” Palacios said.

According to Palacios, the season is also highlighted by the deployment of the MSC Lirica, which will offer itineraries departing from Santos, Rio de Janeiro, and Itajaí.

“It will offer a new regular itinerary that departs from Santos and visits Rio, stopping at destinations such as Ilhabela, Ilha Grande, and Búzios before heading to Itajaí,” Palacios explained.

“The itinerary allows boarding in Santos and Rio as well as in Itajaí, making it a great option for residents of the southern region.”

In addition to the Seaview, the Preziosa, the Armonia and the Lirica, MSC is also deploying the MSC Fantasia in South America during the 2025-26 season. The 3,300-guest ship is set to offer itineraries to Brazil departing from Argentina and Urugua.
