Five cruise ships are set to visit Brazil’s Amazonas State in March, the State Company of Tourism of Amazonas (Amazonastur) announced.
Following transit calls by the Seven Seas Navigator and the Viking Sea, the state will welcome the Azamara Journey, the Silver Ray and the Villa Vie Odyssey.
According to a press release, these arrivals solidify Amazonas as a cruise destination in the northern region of Brazil.
The state’s schedule is highlighted by the Villa Vie Residences’ Odyssey, which is scheduled to dock in Manaus for an overnight call on Mar. 30, 2025.
Amazonastur said that the Azamara Journey and the Silver Ray will also make their maiden visits on March 14 and 15, respectively.
The three ships are expected to bring around 3,500 visitors to Manaus, including passengers and crew, the government agency said.
This month, Amazonas has already welcomed the Seven Seas Navigator and the Viking Sea, with both ships arriving in Manaus simultaneously on Mar. 8, 2025.
Since the start of the 2024-25 local season, Amazonas has welcomed over 10,000 cruise visitors and hosted eight cruise calls.
According to Amazonastur, guests have approved of their experiences in the region.
“Tourists are very satisfied with the services in the capital, enjoying impressive approval ratings. Tour guides, for example, received a rating of nearly 100 percent,” said Ian Ribeiro, president of Amazonastur.
“Hospitality also achieved a satisfaction rating above 97 percent. Natural attractions received a 97 percent approval rating as well, making it the highest-rated aspect among tourists so far,” he added.
Foreigners make up the majority of those arriving in the state onboard cruise ships, said Amazonastur.
About 60 percent are from the United States, while 25 percent come from the United Kingdom and roughly ten percent from Canada.
