Carnival Revises Departure Times for Future Cruises on Celebration

Carnival Celebration

In a statement sent to passengers and travel advisors, Carnival Cruise Line informed guests of a change to the departure times of the Carnival Celebration.

According to the company, the LNG-powered ship is now scheduled to set sail from PortMiami earlier than originally planned.

“We have revised the departure time for your cruise and now plan to sail from Miami at 3:30 PM instead of 4:00 PM Eastern Time,” the company explained.

Carnival also advised passengers that all guests must be onboard no later than the final boarding time specified on their boarding passes.

According to the statement, the change will be in effect for all sailings scheduled to depart between Feb. 3 and Dec. 28, 2025.

Cruises sailings between Jan. 4 and Dec. 27, 2026, are also affected, as well as those scheduled to depart between Jan. 3 and Mar. 21, 2027.

Sailing from PortMiami on a year-round basis, the Carnival Celebration offers seven-night cruises to the Caribbean.

The itineraries feature destinations in both the Western and the Eastern Caribbean, including Cozumel in Mexico, Mahogany Bay in Honduras, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic and San Juan in Puerto Rico.

Starting in July, the ship is also scheduled to make regular visits to Carnival’s new private island destination in the Bahamas, Celebration Key.

The stop will be part of a series of six- to eight-night cruises that also include visits to ports of call in the Southern Caribbean, such as Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao.

As a sister ship to the 2021-built Mardi Gras, the Carnival Celebration was built by the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

After being delivered to Carnival Cruise Line a few weeks earlier, the 5,200-guest ship arrived in Miami for its maiden season in November 2022.

A third ship in the series, the Carnival Jubilee, entered service for Carnival in late 2023, kicking off a series of cruises to the Western Caribbean from Galveston.
