Atlas Ocean Voyages is cancelling one of its upcoming sailings in South America, the company said in a letter sent to booked guests.

According to the statement, the cruise previously set to sail onboard the World Navigator on Mar. 16, 2026, will no longer go ahead.

“Due to an adjustment in our deployment schedule next spring, we regret to inform you that we must cancel the expedition,” Atlas Ocean said.

The World Navigator was poised to sail from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro as part of a ten-night itinerary that included eight destinations in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

The “Enchanted Brazil” sailing was

set to visit Itajaí, São Francisco do Sul, Ilhabela, Ilha Grande and Búzios. The cruise was also highlighted by an overnight stay in the Port of Montevideo.

“We understand this news may be disappointing and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience,” the company added, noting that it is not offering any other similar itineraries at this time.

Affected guests will be able to choose any other itinerary for 2025 and 2026 at the best available fare and receive a ten percent saving, Atlas Ocean added.

Specialty themed cruises, such as the company’s Solar Eclipse expeditions, are excluded from the offer, the statement said.

The cancelled cruise was part of World Navigator’s repositioning voyage to the Northern Hemisphere.

After spending the 2025-26 winter season in Antarctica, the 200-guest ship is scheduled to offer summer cruises in Northern Europe and the Arctic.

The deployment includes itineraries to Scandinavia, Svalbard, Greenland, the Baltic, Iceland and the Canadian Arctic.

After arriving in New England in the fall, the World Navigator is also set to offer cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean in early October as part of Atlas Ocean’s “Cultural Expeditions” program.
