AmaWaterways has appointed Catherine Powell as its new president, effective February 17, 2025.

A former Disney executive and Airbnb’s Global Head of Hosting, Powell brings extensive experience in business growth and strategic transformation. She will work alongside co-founders Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst to support the company’s continued expansion.

Powell will report to CEO Rudi Schreiner, ensuring continuity in AmaWaterways’ leadership. Schreiner emphasized that her expertise aligns with the company’s commitment to innovation and exceptional guest experiences, supporting its growth in the luxury river cruise market.

Kristin Karst will remain co-owner and co-founder while also taking on the position of chief brand Ambassador.
