Adventures by Disney is introducing a new river cruise for 2026, sailing through southern France along the Rhône River.
The seven-night itinerary aboard the AmaKristina will take guests from Lyon to Provence, visiting destinations including Lyon, Tournon, Viviers, Avignon and Arles. The itinerary will feature Disney storytelling and activities for families, including Junior Adventurer programs.
Bookings open to the general public on February 12, 2025.
Highlights of the Rhône River cruise include:
- Active sightseeing: Explore towns and villages by bike, kayak beneath the Roman Pont du Gard aqueduct, and ride a steam-powered train through Doux Gorges.
- Culinary experiences: Taste local specialties like cheeses, chocolates, olive oil, and honey. Enjoy wine tastings from Rhône Valley vineyards, including Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
- Art activities: Walk Roussillon’s Ochre Trail and take a painting class, learn silk weaving in Lyon, and visit St. Paul de Mausole, where van Gogh created over 250 masterpieces.
- Historical tours: Visit ancient Roman ruins in Lyon and Nîmes, and explore the medieval towns of Tournon and Viviers.
Adventures by Disney will offer five Rhône River cruises in 2026, including four family departures and one for adults. Each sailing will be led by up to five Disney-trained Adventure Guides.
