Turks and Caicos welcomed 1,225,255 cruise passengers in 2024, marking a 30.48 percent increase over the previous year, according to a press release.

The destination saw 311 ship calls, a 19.16 percent rise from 2023. Cruise arrivals peaked in July with 136,990 passengers, followed by October (110,329) and August (108,454).

“I am elated at the continued upward trajectory of our tourism sector,” said Minister of Tourism Josephine Connolly.

“Through the efforts of Experience Turks and Caicos and our hotel partners, our “Beautiful by Nature” island has become one of the top trending destinations in the Caribbean. I am optimistic that as we enter the 2025 season that we will perform even better and I am looking forward to the many exciting initiatives planned to boost our tourism industry and ensure that all of our citizens benefit from it.”

Experience Turks and Caicos strengthened its engagement with travel advisors through training sessions, roadshows and industry events in 2024. The organization hosted in-person training for Virtuoso travel advisors from Canada, the US and the UK and participated in the Virtuoso Travel Show in Las Vegas, where over 100 advisors were trained.
